The board of cricket control in India has made it compulsory to participate for all the players in the next round of the Ranji Trophy who are currently not part of India’s squad.
This decision was made by BCCI when a few of the players had already started preparing for the upcoming IPL season without participating in domestic cricket.
As per the report, the BCCI has already emailed the players regarding their participation in the next round of the Ranji Trophy.
Players like Ishan Kishan,Krunal Pandya,Deepak Chahar, and Ishan Kishan have not taken part in the domestic tournament, irrespective of not being part of the international setup.
It’s a direct indication from the BCCI that players cannot simply participate in IPL and international cricket without prioritizing domestic cricket.
Recently, team India’s wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan was seen practicing with Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya after he took a break from international cricket, citing mental fatigue.
Indian head coach Rahul Dravid stated clearly in a press conference that Ishan Kishan needs to play some sort of cricket to make him eligible for selection in the Indian team.
Without playing some sort of cricket, Ishan Kishan won’t be eligible for selection in the Indian team.

Recently, Avesh Khan, who has not been part of the upcoming three test matches, was seen playing Ranji Trophy for his state team, Madhya Pradesh, on February 9.
