Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of India’s Asia Cup against Nepal. After the match against Pakistan was called-off due to rain, now India will play its next match against Nepal on September 4 at Pallekele. Bumrah who made his comeback to the team after a long span of time and has now returned back to home due to some personal reasons.
The reports also claim that the star speedster will be back before India’s first Super 4 encounter which will be most likely against Pakistan on September 10.
Jasprit Bumrah holds a crucial role within the Indian Team and recently made his comeback to the ODI setup after a lengthy period of absence due to an injury that sidelined him since September 2022. While he did make his return during the T20I series against Ireland a few weeks ago, the Asia Cup is seen as a significant test for him, especially ODI World Cup coming in one month.
The presence of Jasprit Bumrah will definitely give a boost to India in the upcoming ODI World Cup. As the 50-over cup is happening in India, the bowler will be a key for India re-capturing the trophy in 2011.
