This T20 World Cup has been the strangest world cup since the start of the shortest format of cricket. Some of the big upsets happened, and some games were washed by the rain. But somehow this prestigious tournament is moving forward and we have got our 4 semi-finalists of this tournament.
On Friday, New Zealand won the one-sided clash against Ireland by 35 runs and became the first team to qualify in this T20 World Cup Semi-finals from Group 1, whereas on Saturday, England beat Sri Lanka by 4 wickets and became the second team from the Group 1 to qualify for the Semi-finals.
Now, two teams have been confirmed from group 1 for the semis final and the kiwis are the table topper in Group 1, so they will play the semifinal game against the 2nd position team in Group 2. However, the English team is in the second position and will play against the team on the 1st position in Group 2 in the semifinal encounter.
6th November is the most terrifying day for the South African derby, once again proteas choked in the important match of the ICC tournament and were eliminated from the T20 World Cup 2022. Indian team has already qualified for the semis whereas today Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 5 wickets and became the second team to qualify for the semis. Indian team is the table topper in group 2 with 8 points. Today men in blue beat Zimbabwe by 71 runs.
Now, the first semi-final match will be played between New Zealand and Pakistan on Nov 9th at Sydney Cricket Ground. Whereas in the second semi-final game Indian team will clash with England on Nov 10th at Adelaide Oval.
The winners of the semi-final game will play the T20 World Cup 2022 final at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Nov 13th.
