Team India and Mumbai’s middle order batter, Sarfraz Khan, has marked his international debut in Style as the batter went on to score 130 runs in his debut test match across two innings, scoring 50s in both the first and second innings of the test match.
Sarfraz Khan received praise from all over the cricketing world for his composure at the international level. Out of many compliments, one such compliment was given by South African Superman and Sarfaraz Khan’s former RCB teammate, Ab Devilliers.
In his YouTube channel, Ab Devilliers was all praise for Sarfraz Khan, saying, “I have played with this boy before, and he is a very level-headed and down-to-earth guy. I am really proud of him. It was great to see his dad blow kisses after Sarfaraz reached fifty, and it was heartwarming for me to watch.”
Sarfaraz Khan was part of the RCB squad from 2015–2018 and shared the dressing room with the likes of Virat Kohli,Ab Devilliers, and Chris Gayle. Sarfraz played 25 matches for the franchise, in which he scored 228 runs at an average of 20.73 and had a strike rate of 159.
Ab Devilliers was also all praise for the young Indian opener, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has been in some red-hot form in the series, scoring over 500 runs in the ongoing series so far.
Speaking on Jaiswal Ab devilliers, he said, “There are not enough words to say. It is his aggressive batting that just makes the match look quite easy. I love watching Jaiswal play, and it seems like the pressure is always on the bowlers when he bats”.
Jaiswal also made a phenomenal record against the English team, as he became the first opener to score two double hundreds against the visitors.
Ab Devilliers also spoke about Shubhman Gill after the young batter scored a sublime 91 in the second inning of the Rajkot test.
Speaking of the same, Ab Devilliers said, “Gill has been under pressure, and he is not in the best of form. But he played such a crucial knock under pressure in the second inning, and that too at such a crucial point in his career. This inning was crucial for him to get some breathing space in that Indian team.”
Both teams will tussle against each other for the fourth time in the series on February 23.
