Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma divorce case has got a new twist, Check out

The Bombay High Court gave cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma a break, skipping the usual six-month waiting period after they filed for divorce. The court told the family court to wrap up their divorce case by Thursday.

Justice Madhav Jamdar mentioned that Chahal needs to be available for the Indian Premier League (IPL) starting March 21. Chahal and Verma filed for divorce on February 5, asking the court to waive the cooling-off period since they both agreed on the split.

The family court said no to skipping the waiting period on February 20, so they took it to the high court.

Normally, the Hindu Marriage Act requires a six-month cooling-off period before a divorce is finalized.

Justice Jamdar approved their request, noting that Chahal will be busy with the IPL after March 21. So, the high court asked the family court to make a decision on their divorce by March 20.

Chahal will be playing for the Punjab Kings in the IPL, which kicks off on March 22.
