Star Indian batter Rishabh Pant’s car collided with a divider on the road when he went to Dehradun from Delhi. Young cricketer broke the car’s window and saved himself after his vehicle caught fire. He was helped by the Haryana Roadways bus driver and conductor, who was available at the time of the accident.
Pant is currently admitted to the Max Dehradun, and as per the reports, he has some serious injuries to his head, back, and leg. The world cricket fraternity is giving him wishes for a speedy recovery. India’s former skipper and legendary cricketer Kapil Dev became emotional and thanked god for Pant’s stable conditions.
“This is learning. When I was still an up-and-coming cricketer, I faced a motorcycle accident. My brother didn’t even let me touch the motorbike from that day onwards. I’m just thankful to god that Rishabh Pant is safe,” Kapil Dev said.
The former Indian skipper also suggested that cricketers must take of themselves and could easily hire a driver instead of driving the car himself.
“Yes, you have a good-looking car with great speeds, but you must be careful. You can easily afford a driver and don’t have to drive it alone. I understand that one has hobbies or even passion for such things, it’s natural to have them at his age, but you also have responsibilities. Only you can take care of yourself. You have to decide things for yourself,” Kapil Dev suggested.
As per BCCI provided a statement on Pant’s medical report, he has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee, and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, and toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back.
