Former Indian veteran Harbhajan Singh has come up with an important observation from the second Day of the World Test Championship finale. He said that the bowl which dismissed Virat Kohli was the toughest delivery of the entire match.
Harbhajan Singh believes that Virat Kohli was unfortunate as he became victim to an awkward delivery from Mitchell Starc at which he was sent back to the Pavilion. Bhajji felt that there was not a single mistake of Virat Kohli but the delivery from Mitchell Starc was an ultimate one and unplayable.
In the World Test Championship (WTC) final at The Oval, the star Indian batter was dismissed for 14 runs in the first innings. His dismissal came when a delivery unexpectedly bounced higher than the regular one after striking the good length.
While talking on his Youtube Channel, Harbhajan Singh defended Kohli by claiming Mitchell Starc’s delivery was an unexpected one. Kohli was caught by Steve Smith on Starc’s ball and scored only 14 runs in 31 balls which included two fours.
The former off-spinner said, “Mitchell Starc’s delivery to dismiss Kohli was the toughest delivery of the entire match so far. Luck eluded Kohli this time as well because the ball bounced in an awkward fashion. This delivery would have been difficult for any other batter as well.”
