In the 11th match of the Women’s Premier League, Delhi Capitals managed to get a 6-wicket win against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
In this match, Delhi Capitals Women won the toss and elected to bowl first which proved to be right for Meg Lanning’s team. RCB only managed to get 150 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. For RCB, Ellyse Perry got the maximum of 67 runs in 52 balls. Apart from it, Richa Ghosh scored 37 runs in just 16 balls.
For Delhi Capitals, Shikha Pandey got three wickets and Tara Norris bagged one wicket for the team.
While chasing the target of 151 runs, Delhi capitals lost its first wicket at the score of one where Shafali Verma went to Pavilion on a duck. After the first wicket, the other batters carried the momentum and achieved the target in 19.4 overs at the loss of four wickets by scoring 154 runs.
For Delhi Capitals, Alice Capsey of England scored the maximum 38 runs. After Capsey, Jemimah Rodrigues(32) and Marizanne Kapp(32) took the team home with the fine support of Jess Jonassen who scored 29.
For RCB, Asha Shobana gets the maximum of two wickets. Megan Schutt and Preeti Bose also get one-one wickets each.
For scoring 29 runs in 15 balls, Jess Jonassen gets the player of the series award.
