Will Jasprit Bumrah Play The Next T20I Against Australia? BCCI Gives An Interesting Update

The 2nd T20I between India and Australia will be played in Nagpur on September 23. India has already lost the series opener on September 20 which was played in Mohali. Now, the 2nd T20I is prepped to bring some for the Indian Cricket fans as the team’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is set to make his comeback to Indian Playing XI.

Jasprit Bumrah who was suffering from a back injury did not get himself into the playing XI of the first T20I against Australia. Bumrah’s entrance will eventually lead Umesh Yadav to move out from the playing XI. The interesting fact is Nagpur is the home ground of Umesh and he will be having the desire to play in front of his crowd.

A BCCI source said, “The team management did not want to rush him and that is the reason for his absence in the Mohali game.”

He further added, “He has been bowling full blast at the nets and he is ready for action,” the source further said. There were no nets at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur on Wednesday as it was a travel day for the side. Should Bumrah be in the XI, Umesh Yadav may have to make way despite the fact that the Nagpur stadium is his home ground.”

Team India lost the first match against Australia by 4 wickets. The batters posted a huge total of 208 runs but the indiscipline bowling by Harshal Patel and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took the match away from the men in blue.
