WI vs IND: Will Mukesh Kumar Make His Test Debut In 2nd Test? Dinesh Karthik Talks About The Indian Playing XI

The second Test match between India and West Indies will mark their 100th encounter in the longest format of the game. India won the first one with an innings and 141 runs and now the second will be played at Port Of Spain. This is India’s last Test match before the ODI World Cup and now they will play their next Test against South Africa at the end of this year.

It is being expected that India might make changes in the team but veteran Wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik does not feel so. Fans are thinking that India might get Mukesh Kumar in the playing XI but Karthik feels that the management is not going to change their winning combination and they will go with the same team.

The management is carrying Mukesh Kumar with them to carry the load of Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah if needed but the pacer from West Bengal is yet to make his international debut. If India brings Mukesh Kumar, one between Jaydev Unadkat and Shardul Thakur have to leave their place.

Karthik feels that Rohit Sharma does not believe in too many changes . While speaking to Cricbuzz, he said,”India won’t make any changes be it their mindset, skillset or playing XI. They will bring the same brand of cricket to the table. They have been very strong, very sure about what they want. The Ashwin-Jadeja combo has done wonders. Debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal has done well. There is no room for a change unless there’s a change. They have had a five-day break. In the Caribbean, you generally go to the beaches and that’s what they must’ve done for the first two-three days and then they would’ve practised for two days.”
