Angkrish Raghuvanshi took the cricketing world by storm as the young batter played a top-notch knock of 54 of just 27 deliveries, which included five boundaries and three towering sixes.
The young player made his IPL debut against RCB but did not get a chance to bat; however, against Delhi, he was promoted to number three. The batter grabbed the opportunity with both hands, scoring his maiden IPL 50. Raghuvanshi, along with Sunil Narine, added 104 runs for the second wicket.
However, after his heroics, he dedicated this knock to KKR’s batting coach, Abhishek Nayar. The youngest revealed that it was Nayar who worked so hard with him and prepared him for such a big stage.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi said, “I would like to dedicate this knock to my coach, Abhishek Nayar, my teammates, and the support staff. I have learned a lot from staying with them. Abhishek sir has been working with me since my childhood. All this reverse sweep and all, he made me practice a lot. So, the main man is him only.”
Angkrish Raghuvanshi also spoke about his ultimate goal, which is to represent India on the international stage.
Speaking about the same, Angkrish Raghuvanshi said, “To obviously don the Indian jersey. But to wear it like no one has ever done before. Everyone will look at me and say, I’m different.”
