Kolkata Knight Riders gave young bowler Suyash Sharma a chance to debut in the 9th IPL 2023 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The long-haired young leg-spinner impressed in his IPL debut and scalped three wickets. KKR used Suyash as an impact player, who replaced Venkatesh Iyer. He is the first impact player who has shown impactful in IPL 2023.

Suyash Sharma is known as the mystery spinner. Born on 15 May 2003, Suyash Sharma was bought by KKR for his base price of Rs 20 lakhs in the IPL 2023 auction. 19-year-old Suyesh Sharma is a resident of Delhi. He has not played any List A, First Class or T20 matches before making his debut for KKR. This was his first match in competitive cricket. Suyash has played for Delhi under-25 team.
