After a 81 run loss against Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore have got another major setback. The left-handed fast bowler of England, Reece Topley has been ruled out of IPL 2023.
The bowler from England has dislocated his shoulder during the first home game of the Royal Challengers Bangalore against the Mumbai Indians at Chinnaswamy.
RCB head coach Sanjay Bangar talked about this during the match against KKR and said,”Topley has been ruled out of the IPL and has flown back home. His replacement will be named soon.”
He further said,”We tried our best to keep him here, but the treatment and the experts suggest that he is going to be out of action for some time.”
Bangar also informed that the star spinner from Sri Lanka Wanindu Hasaranga is likely to join the team on April 10th. Additionally, Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood, who missed the Test series in India due to an injury, is anticipated to join the squad on April 14th.
“Hasaranga will arrive for us on the 10th, so depending on the time of his arrival and how he copes with the long flight from New Zealand is something we’ll have to think about. But in the meantime, Karn Sharma has taken his chances really well, so that’s another headache for us – but it’s a good headache.”
