To make Sachin’s 50th birthday even more special, UAE has gifted him a special gift to him. A special function was organized in Sharjah to give this gift.
A stand at Sharjah Cricket Stadium has been named after Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin played two such innings in this stadium 25 years ago, due to which he is also known as Desert Storm. During the naming ceremony of Sachin Tendulkar Stand, the Master Blaster himself could not be present there, but the fans were very happy with this gift given by UAE.
During the tri-series, matches were held between India, Australia and New Zealand. It was told that Sachin Tendulkar is 50 years old, and this special honour is being given to Sachin on the occasion of completing 25 years of Desert Storm. Twenty-five years ago, in two back-to-back matches, Sachin played a tremendous knock against the Australian team at the Sharjah Stadium.
