When Will Virat Kohli Join The RCB Squad For IPL 2024?

According to a reliable report, Indian batting icon Virat Kohli, who has been inactive since January, is anticipated to join the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad later this week, possibly by the 16th or 17th of March. Kohli is set to mark his comeback to competitive cricket through the tournament.

Kohli’s most recent appearance for Team India was on January 17th in the third and final T20I against Afghanistan. In that match, he suffered the disappointment of a golden duck, falling victim to pacer Fareed Ahmed. Meanwhile, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma’s outstanding performance, scoring an unbeaten 121 runs, was a highlight of the game.

According to a BCCI source, Virat Kohli will join the RCB camp within the upcoming days, likely by the end of this week. Star Sports, in a recent IPL 2024 show, disclosed that Kohli is slated to reunite with his teammates around the 16th or 17th of March, approximately 4-5 days before RCB’s inaugural match against Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on March 22.

“With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika’s little brother into this world! We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love & Gratitude – Virat & Anushka.” – Kohli posted on Instagram.

The star RCB batter is on break since the five-match Test series against England, which India won by 4-1. On February 20th, Virat Kohli announced on his official Instagram account that he and Anushka Sharma had been blessed with a baby boy, whom they named Akaay.
