What’s Next For Mayank Agarwal After Battling a Major Health Scare?

Indian team’s opener and Karnataka captain Mayank Agarwal, who was recently hospitalized after consuming a liquid on board a flight, has recovered and will now return to the field to lead his side against Tamil Nadu in their next Ranji Trophy game, which is set to take place in Chennai on Friday.

The Prolific test opener had consumed a liquid on a flight to Surat after their match against Tripura last month. He was admitted to the nearest hospital to treat the burning sensation in his mouth and throat that he felt after the consumption of the liquid.
Agrawal went on to lodge a grievance, citing foul play because, because of this unfortunate incident, he missed Karnataka’s clash against the Railways.
However, he was cleared of any major health risks, which paved the way for his comeback on the state team.

In the absence of Karnataka’s regular skipper Mayank Agarwal, young batting star Nikin Jose led their side in their previous encounter against the Railways.

The former Champions won the match by a narrow margin, defeating the Railways by 1 wicket, with Manish Pandey scoring an unbeaten half century.

As far as the points are concerned, both Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have 21 points, but Tamil Nadu is at the top because of its better net run rate.

Agarwal’s return to the side will boost their batting as the Karnataka opener has been in sublime form, scoring 310 runs from four matches at an average of 44 with two hundred and fifty.
