In the press conference held before the third ODI against Australia, the head coach said, “I think we are very clear about the kind of players we want in the squad. Some of our players are still recovering from their injuries and will be fit to be a part of this team. There is still no clarity on whether Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna and Deepak Chahar will recover from their injuries in time, but Dravid said they already have “narrowed” down on the probable squad. But according to the head coach, he wants to use the shortlisted 17 to 18 players in different combinations so that it can benefit in the World Cup.
