After a thrilling performance at Melbourne Cricket Ground, the Indian Cricket Team has reached for another entertaining contest. Here, Rohit Sharma and company will play their second match of the super 12 round against the Netherlands.
Like Melbourne, the weather in Sydney all seems to be cloudy and the players from the team India did practice under the shadow of dark clouds. The players who got them on the field early in the morning were Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and Yuzvendra Chahal warmed their bodies. However, players like Suryakumar Yadav, and all-rounder Hardik Pandya was not seen practicing on the ground. The Indian pace trio in the name of Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, and Bhuvaneshvar Kumar also did not participate in the practice session. The reports suggest that on Wednesday team India will not have any warm-up in the net and they will ultimately jump to the ground on Thursday for the match against the Netherlands.
In the first match, India beat Pakistan by four wickets in a thrilling match where Virat Kohli shined with the bat and played the innings of his life. The star smashed 82* in just 53 balls and won the match for India single-handedly. Hardik Pandya also displayed a good all-round performance and before getting 41 runs with the bat, he clinched three wickets while bowling as well.
