In the ongoing SA20 league, fans were amazed to see Paarl Royals spinner Tabraiz Shamsi’s strange celebration during the match against the Durban Super Giants in the ongoing SA20 on January 17.
In the eighth over of the Super Giants’ innings, Shamsi got the wicket of opener Wiaan Mulder. The left-arm spinner took the wicket, uprooted one of the stumps, and pretended to hobble while using it as a stick.
Shamsi pointed to the dressing room while tapping his hamstring. Notably, the celebration seemed to be a reference to the bowler’s hamstring injury on January 13 after celebrating a wicket against the Joburg Super Kings.
Shamsi just bowled one over against the Super Kings before being forced to leave the field because of an injury. Because of the same, the clever spinner was forced to sit out for the remainder of the game.
