Watch: Hardik Pandya dances on Dhol, Virat Kohli quietly escapes the dance floor

After Rohit Sharma and his team returned to New Delhi on Thursday morning, celebrations took place at the ITC Maurya Hotel. Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya danced outside the hotel after getting off the team bus. However, indian batting legend Virat Kohli , chose not to dance and quietly passed by without drawing much attention. Hardik was enthusiastically dancing, but Virat opted not to join in.

As soon as the Indian team’s bus arrived at the ITC Maurya Hotel in Chanakyapuri, the sound of drums greeted India’s champions. Rohit, Surya, and Hardik couldn’t help but join in the center and show off their dancing skills, but Kohli stayed out of it.

Virat really danced with joy in Barbados when the Indian team won the T20 World Cup, beating South Africa in the final by 7 runs.

The Indian team came back home on a special flight arranged by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah. They left on July 2 and landed in Delhi around 6:00 AM on Thursday morning. Board officials and some journalists who covered the tournament were also on the flight.

As soon as the Indian cricket team arrived at the airport, they were greeted with enthusiastic cheers from their fans. The supporters loudly chanted “India India” and called out the names of their favorite players as they saw them. The Indian players, known as the Men in Blue, showed their appreciation by waving to the fans from inside their team bus.

India won the final match on Saturday, beating South Africa by seven runs and ending a 13-year wait for an ICC trophy victory. Virat Kohli scored 76 runs, helping India to a total of 176/7. Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah then took three wickets each, limiting South Africa to 169/8, despite Heinrich Klaasen’s quick 52 runs off just 27 balls. Bumrah, who took 15 wickets throughout the tournament with an impressive economy rate of 4.17, was awarded ‘Player of the Tournament’.

A special cake shaped like the T20 World Cup trophy will be served at the ITC Maurya hotel to mark the victory celebration.

Following the tradition of other winning teams, the team led by Rohit will enjoy an open-top bus tour in Mumbai, starting from Marine Drive and passing by the famous Wankhede Stadium, beginning at 5:00 pm.

Following their visit with Prime Minister Modi, the Indian cricket team will head to Mumbai for a big victory parade.
