Wasim Jaffer Gives A Huge Advice To Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal And Shubman Gill Before The 4th T20I Against West Indies

Former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer has given a huge statement regarding the young Indian wicket-keeper batter Sanju Samson. Jaffer has expressed that wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson is in need of scoring runs and has a favorable opportunity to do so before India’s fourth T20I in the five-match series at the Central Broward Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.

While having a conversation with ESPNcricinfo, Wasim Jaffer said that Sanju Samson, Jaiswal and Shubman Gill won’t get a better pitch to score runs when going through a bad form. Samson has scored only 19 runs in the two innings he has played so far in the ongoing five-match T20I series.

“He (Samson) is due some runs. This is a high-scoring ground where the ball will come onto the bat and he will like batting here. Whether it’s him or Shubman Gill or Jaiswal, if you’re in poor form, you won’t get a better pitch than this. So they need to make the most of it,” said Jaffer.

Jaffer also praised the West Indian captain Rovman Powell. He said that after meeting the captaincy duties, Powell has performed brilliantly for his team. He has scored 109 runs in the three innings of this T20I series.

“It seems like the responsibility of captaincy has had a positive impact on him. After Nicholas Pooran, if there’s any batter who the West Indies are dependent on, then it’s Rovmann Powell,” Jaffer added.
