Was Jadeja’s Injury And Omission From T20 World Cup A Huge Fault Of BCCI’s Under-Water Adventure?

Everything was going well for Team India until the star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out of Asia Cup due to a freak injury which actually happened due to some hard hitting and adventurous training patterns of the BCCI.

The unavailability of Jadeja will hit the BCCI so hard during the upcoming T20 World Cup. Jadeja was one of the key members of the Indian side and his absence will be impossible to be filled by some other players.

According to some sources, BCCI and Indian team management carried out some water based training activity in the backwater facility of the Dubai Hotel where the Indian Team was staying for the T20 world cup.

According to a report in TOI a source close to the incident informed,” He had to balance himself on some kind of ski-board as part of an adventure activity – not part of the training manual at all. It was absolutely unnecessary. He slipped and twisted his knee badly, which led to a surgery.”

Currently Jadeja is in Mumbai and he is getting treatment under the supervision of the BCCI medical team. The consultant and senior orthopedic surgeon DR Dinshaw Pardiwala is taking care of Jadeja.

The source also said no one from the BCCI or the head coach Rahul Dravid bothered to ask questions about how this injury happened.

The source said,” What’s surprising here is, Head Coach Rahul Dravid hasn’t ‘lost his cool’ given how the injury occured. Ideally, one would have expected Dravid to question this entire process. All said, the bottomline is – India will travel to Australia without Jadeja.”
