“Wanted to be fit before….”Rishabh Pant Made A Shocking Revelation Ahead Of The Upcoming IPL Season

Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant is all set to return to Compititve Cricket as the wicketkeeper is declared fit by BCCI to participate in the upcoming IPL season.

However, ahead of the upcoming IPL season, Rishabh Pant made a shocking revelation, saying that he wanted to regain his fitness before the India vs. England test series. But the wicketkeeper batter sincerely thanked BCCI and NCA for his recovery.

Pant said that he was eagerly waiting to be declared fit. The wicketkeeper batter also said that BCCI secretary Jay Shah was constantly in touch regarding his fitness.

Pant said, “I was anxiously waiting to be declared fit. I was trying to get fit before the Test series against England. BCCI and NCA were very helpful. BCCI secretary Jay Shah took personal interest. They didn’t want to rush me to the longest format. They slowly built up the workload. That was the best part of the recovery. You have to appreciate it if someone takes care of you like that. They suggested that I start with T20s and then increase the workload.”

Pant further stated that he was eagerly waiting to make a comeback on the cricket field. Speaking of the same, Rishabh Pant said

“Amazing feeling. This was the thing we were waiting for. It’s been so long. I think you can still cope with a layoff of three to six months. But when it goes beyond that, it starts taking a toll. I just want to go out there and play and have fun. Not thinking about the future too much, because then you put too much pressure on yourself. Looking forward to each day as it comes.”

Pant will be seen as Delhi capitals are set to take on Punjab kings on March 23 in Mohali.
