Virat Kohli To Be Rested In Third ODI As Well? Check Out The BCCI Report

The ODI series between India and West Indies has taken an intriguing turn as speculations rise over Virat Kohli’s availability for the crucial third and final ODI. In the first ODI, Kohli did not bat, and he was rested for the second match, leaving fans uncertain about his presence in the series decider at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad.

Adding to the uncertainty, yesterday many reports surfaced over social media that Kohli did not travel with the team from Barbados to Trinidad, raising eyebrows about his role in the upcoming match.

But according to BCCI sources Virat Kohli is all set to participate in the series decider as he was set to join the Indian team during the training session. Source said ‘ These are just rumours. He is fit to go and will participate in series decider. Definitely he hasn’t travelled with the Indian team but will join the camp during the training season.’

The West Indies tour is India’s sole assignment between the conclusion of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Asia Cup in September thus it is necessary for king Kohli to get some game time before this mega clash. Kohli has last batted for Indian team on March 22 in ODI cricket.

As the series reaches its climax, cricket enthusiasts around the world eagerly await news on Kohli’s availability, which could significantly impact the outcome of the final ODI between India and West Indies.
