Breaking News: Bumrah To Lead Indian Team As BCCI Declared Indian Squad For Ireland Tour

Team India has announced the squad for the three-match T20 series against Ireland. The Cherry on the cake is the comeback of star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah who has been out of the team for almost one year. Not only this but Bumrah has been also appointed as the captain of the tour.

Let us tell you that, Bumrah previously led an Indian team before, during a single Test match in England last summer. Bumrah has not been part of the Indian squad since September 2022 due to a persistent back injury, which was first encountered during the India tour of England in July 2022. His last appearance for India was during the T20I bilateral series against Australia at home. The injury has caused him to miss around two months of cricket.

Apart from Bumrah, the stylish opener of Chennai Super Kings Ruturaj Gaikwad has been appointed as the vice-captain of the side. India is going with a totally new team with too many faces who gave a high performance in the IPL 2023.

After the selection in Test Cricket, Yashasvi Jaiswal has now got the place in this T20 squad as well. Rinku Singh who showed his batting potential playing for KKR this year and the rising middle-order batter Tilak Varma are also the part of this squad.

Shivam Dube is also making his comeback to the side after a heroic performance for Chennai Super Kings this year in the middle-order. Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar are other bowling options.
