King Kohli is back in Indian squad for the Asia Cup 2022 which is set to be played in T20 format for the first time. Not only one, Indian team has got two setbacks in bowling department as their star pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel is ruled out of Asia Cup due to injury.
Indian opener and vice captain KL Rahul is also included in the squad after recovering from injury whereas likes of Shreyas Iyer, Deepak Chahar and Axar Patel can’t find their place on 15 member squad and they have been selected as backups:
Squad: Rohit Sharma (c), KL Rahul(vc), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, R. Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Deepak Hooda, Yuzvendra Chahal
Back-ups: Shreyas Iyer, Deepak Chahar and Axar Patel
They should give chance to Kuldeep Yadav in playing 11.
