Virat Kohli Gave His First Reaction After Team India’s Exit From World Cup

Star batter Virat Kohli tweeted an emotional post from his official Twitter handle, after a painful exit from the T20 World Cup 2022 Semi-Final.

Virat Kohli came up thanking all the fans for their support and shared a proud moment while wearing the blue jersey.
“We leave Australian shores short of achieving our dream and with disappointment in our hearts but we can take back a lot of memorable moments as a group and aim to get better from here on”.

“Thank you to all our fans who turned up in huge numbers throughout to support us in the stadiums. Always feel proud to wear this jersey and represent our country” Kohli tweeted.

Virat is the leading run-scorer with 296 runs to his name in this tournament whereas he has also become the first batter to score 4000+ runs in T20I history. He showed a speculative performance in this tournament and his innings were laced with four fifties. The former Indian skipper was struggling to score before the Asia cup 2022 but the momentum he has got in the game against Afghanistan in Asia cup 2022 helped him to get his form back and he continued his incredible performance in this T20 World Cup.

This is the fourth time for Kohli that team India lost their semi-final game in the ICC event. In 2016 India lost the semi-final match against West Indies, whereas in 2015, they have lost fifty over the world cup and then again in 2019 under his captaincy 50 over World Cup.

Indian team have won the ICC 50 over tournament in 2011 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni in which Virat was available, whereas they have won the last T20 World Cup in 2007 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni but at that time Virat wasn’t featured in that Tournament.
