Former CSK player Suresh Raina was asked if MS Dhoni would play in the IPL 2025 season after his impressive performance in the current season. Raina, along with the ex-Indian pacer RP Singh gave their verdict on the future of IPL while having a conversation with Jio Cinema.
Singh expressed his belief that it doesn’t appear to be Dhoni’s final season in the IPL and then directed this question to Raina.
“It doesn’t seem like this will be his last season,” said Singh.
Singh would inquire about Raina’s perspective on the matter, and the former CSK star would respond with a single word to the question. Raina stated that Dhoni would participate in the next season of the IPL.
Singh asked Raina what he thought, and Raina replied with just one word: “Yes,” indicating that Dhoni would indeed play in the next IPL season.

Dhoni has been performing well in the IPL this season, contributing with some impactful innings for CSK. He has already passed his captaincy to the youngster Ruturaj, who till now has performed very well.
In the IPL 2024 season, Dhoni has once again proved that age doesn’t hinder his performance. He has been brilliant against the Delhi Capitals and then against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede where he slammed three consecutive sixes against Hardik Pandya off the last over.
