VIDEO: Virat Kohli Requested Wankhede Crowd Not To Mock Hardik Pandya

RCB batter Virat Kohli wasn’t happy with the crowd at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday when they booed Hardik Pandya. He signaled to them to stop and encouraged them to support their new MI captain instead. This golden gesture from former RCB captain Kohli is going viral on social media and fans are appreciating the Indian batter.

It was the 25th match of the Indian Premier League and Mumbai Indians beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven wickets at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. While batting first after losing the toss, RCB posted a total of 196 runs at the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Mumbai Indians chased it down in 15.3 overs at the loss of four wickets.

Virat Kohli looked unhappy when he heard the crowd booing Hardik Pandya as he came to bat with Suryakumar Yadav in the 12th over while chasing an impressive total of 196 runs.

Kohli seemed to indicate that Hardik represents the country and shouldn’t be treated poorly by the crowd. Hardik has faced loud boos from fans who are still adjusting to the change in captaincy by the Mumbai Indians management.

Before this incident, Hardik Pandya was also mocked during the toss, and then the former Indian batter Sanjay Manjrekar asked the crowd to “Behave Properly.”
