Video- ‘I Am Coming To Kolkata’, Sunil Gavaskar Gives A Hilarious Warning To Sourav Ganguly

In addition to being one of the best cricket players ever, Sunil Gavaskar is a well-known football enthusiast. He just traveled to the FIFA World Cup final at the Lusail stadium in Qatar, where he ran with one of the greatest football managers of all time, Arsene Wenger, who throughout his 22-year tenure as the Gunners’ manager led Arsenal to three Premier League titles.

Gavaskar expressed his delight upon meeting Arsene Wenger in a post on Instagram, where he also included a snapshot of the legendary manager. After the first day of play of the second Test between India and Bangladesh, the Indian batting icon was talking about this photo and how Thierry Henry has made him a fan of Arsenal on the post-match discussion show on the Sony Sports Network.

Gavaskar further disclosed that Sourav Ganguly, not himself, was the recipient of the signed jersey of the France and Arsenal icon. He then made a funny warning to the former India captain, telling him to give back his jersey when he visits Kolkata for the second ODI against Sri Lanka on January 12, 2023.

Gavaskar said in his trademark humorous way, “And Sourav Ganguly, hello! Where is that shirt? I am coming to Kolkata for the game on the 12th. Sourav Ganguly you better, I don’t want any excuses. You’re no longer the president. You have a little more time on your hands. Find that shir henry signed for me and give it to me on the 12th.”

During the same chat, he also disclosed that he teases his son Rohan, a devoted Manchester United supporter, about the fact that he supports Arsenal. He said, “I used to tease my son, who is a Manchester United fan, that I am an Arsenal fan. He would then say, ‘Give four names’, and I would say ‘Thierry, Henry, Dennis, and Bergkamp’.”
