The Delhi Capitals (DC) bowlers did a great job at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, bowling out the Gujarat Titans (GT) to only 89 runs. Even DC’s part-time off-spinner Tristan Stubbs played a key role by taking two crucial wickets in the middle overs.
During his one over in the innings, DC captain Rishabh Pant was heard giving him instructions in Hindi. However, the South African spinner seemed not to understand and went on to his bowling mark. The video went viral on social media and features Rishabh Pant saying -“Chorna nahi hai isko, pakad ke data raho (Don’t let him off the hook, keep bowling to him there).”

Stubbs was brought into the attack in the ninth over with GT struggling at 43/4. He began with a dot ball. Abhinav Manohar, who was finding it difficult to score singles, managed to hit a boundary off the second ball. However, he was stumped on the next delivery. The next arrival was Shahrukh Khan who was an impact player for GT. He could only defend the ball back to the bowler. At this point, Pant said something to Stubbs in Hindi. Interestingly, Shahrukh Khan was then stumped off a wide delivery on the next ball in a very abrupt way.
“Amazing to get wickets, the boys bowled beautifully out there, the seamers started well upfront, our two spinners, they’re world-class. I was just trying to hit the wicket, whatever happens, happens, but fortunately, it worked,” Stubbs said after GT’s innings.
