Unveiling The Truth: England Great’s Bold Take on Joe Root

England’s one of the greatest all-time test batters, Joe Root, has been in the buzz since the start of the five-match test series against India.

Joe Root had come into the series with the baggage of high expectations from fans all over the world, but has been completely flat with the bat in the first two test matches of the series and has been drawing a lot of criticism for that.

The recent critic of Joe Root is one of the greats of the game, Michael Vaughan, who criticized Joe Root for playing in an aggressive manner.

Before the start of the second test match between the two teams, Joe Root was seen practicing left-handed batting in the nets, which he reflected on in the match and got off to the mark in both innings by reverse sweep.

Joe Root has had a disappointing series so far, as the stalwart batter has only contributed 52 runs with the bat across the four innings, with the highest score of 29.

Michael Vaughan said that England are playing in an attacking manner from the ball, which is part of their Bazball strategy, but a player of Joe Root’s stature needs not to play like a basher from the ball.

Michael Vaughan further went on to say that after Graham Gooch, Joe Root has been the best spinner that England has ever produced and has made over 10,000 runs in the test format of the game.

Michael Vaughan said that Joe Root needs to be the piller in England’s batting line-up, around whom all the batters can play in an aggressive manner like they usually do.

However, after the third test match of the series, England flew to their pre-base camp in Abu Dhabi for a much-needed break before the resumption of the series.

The series currently stands at 1-1 with both teams winning a test match each; however, the third test match of the series is all set to start on February 15 in Rajkot.
