The England team’s bazball approach has miserably backfired on them throughout the series. There have been instances where England could have won the game, but because of the Bazball strategy of England, the result was otherwise.
However, England are currently playing the fourth test against hosts India.
One of the greatest batsmen from England, Joe Root, shunned the Bazball approach of England and went on to score a prolific hundred on the opening day of the fourth test match.
Joe Root remained not out on 106 after the end of the day’s play and played with a strike rate of 47, which helped England comeback in the match after they were reduced to 112/5.
However, as soon as Joe Root went on to score, one of the prominent faces of the game, Michael Vaughan, took to Twitter to praise Joe Root’s innings.
In his post, Michael Vaughan wrote, “Lovely to see Common Sense Ball.”.
Michael Vaughan also shared his views regarding the pitch, which is used for the Ranchi test, labeling the pitch a shocker.
In another post, Michael Vaughan wrote, “The old saying is: Do not judge a pitch until both teams have batted and bowled on it. But let’s be honest, this one looks a shocker.”
Speaking of the first day of the fourth test match, the visitors were 302/7, with Joe Root (106) and Ollie Robinson (31) taking things forward for visitors.
For India, it was Aakashdeep who had a phenomenal start to his international test career, as the pacer went on to pick up three wickets in his debut test innings for the team.
