“Trying Not to…”Mumbai Indians Captain Harmanpreet Kaur Gives Huge Statement Ahead Of Their Opening Match Of WPL

The stage is all set for WPl to bring on its action. The five teams will face each other for the ultimate glory.

The Delhi Capitals are set to face the defending champion Mumbai Indians in the opening encounter of the WPL.

Both teams played each other in the final of the previous season of the WPL, where the Mumbai Indians defeated the Delhi Capitals to win the inaugural season of the WPL.

However, ahead of this year’s opening encounter against the Delhi Capitals,

Mumbai Indians skipper Harmanpreet Kaur said, “We just kept our preparations very simple. We are trying not to expect too much from ourselves and are doing too many things. That was our approach last year too, and we want to continue that. We are feeling very confident going into this match and tournament. 

Harmanpreet also said that one of the major reasons to feel like that was the extensive training in which the team took part in Mumbai. Harmanpreet also said that she is very confident for the opening game of the tournament.

The Mumbai Indians skipper also spoke about the new players like Amanjot Kaur, who was picked up by the Mumbai Indians in this year’s auction, saying that she feels that Amanjot’s inclusion can make their bowling even more powerful. 

She also spoke about the singing of the veteran pacer Shabnaim Ismail, saying that she has a lot of experience and will compliment pacer Issey Wong in the upcoming season.
