England’s Cricket Star’s Unexpected Return Home Alters Test Match Plans

Team India and England are currently playing each other for the fourth time in the ongoing five-match test series in Ranchi.

However, ahead of the start of the fourth match of the series, Ben Stokes and the company received a huge blow as England’s star spinner Rehan Ahmed flew way back to his home and has no plans to come back to India for the final match of the series.

The England Cricket Board (ECB) shared the news regarding Rehan’s departure from the ongoing test series as the star bowler had a personal emergency that forced him to be out of action.

Even after Rehan’s departure, the board did not announce the replacement for the young spinner for the fifth test match of the series, which is set to be played in Dharamshala.

Regarding the match, England’s skipper Ben Stokes has won the toss and elected to bat first in the fourth test match. Both teams have changed their line-up, as Aakashdeep makes his international debut for India while Ollie Robinson and Shoaib Bashir get a chance in the playing 11 for England.

Team India is currently leading the series by 2-1, with the final match set to be played in Dharamshala on March 7.

India playing XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel (Wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Akash Deep, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohammed Siraj.
