The world’s biggest cricket league is just around the corner, as the IPL fever is going to take over international cricket in a month’s time.
However, ahead of the IPL season, the Gujarat Giants suffered one of the major blows, as they are all set to miss the services of Mohammad Shami, who has been ruled out of the IPL due to an ankle injury.
Here are the three players that the Gujarat Giants can sign as a replacement for Shami for the upcoming IPL season.
- Kamlesh Nagarkoti: Kamalesh Nagarkoti has been one of the brightest prospects in the IPL. So far, Kamlesh has played 12 IPL matches in his career and picked up five wickets. He has a good pace and the ability to bowl the Yorkers in the death overs.
- Sandeep Warrier: Sandeep Warrier was last seen in the IPL in 2021. The fast bowler has the ability to swing the ball both ways and has experience of 72 to 20 matches in which he has picked 63 wickets. The fast bowler was last seen in a KKR jersey.
- Ishan Porel: Ishan Porel is another pacer who can replace Shami in the Gujrat Titans. Ishan Porel has not played IPL so far and has been unsold in this auction as well. The pacer has a good pace to trouble the batter. He can be very effective with the new ball for picking up wickets upfront, so he can be a perfect replacement for Shami in the Gujrat Titans.
