Often regarded as an overconfident player with zero performance, Riyan Parag has seemed to turn the tables in this year’s IPL.
The right-handed batter came in at number four for the Rajasthan Royals and bailed his team out of trouble as he scored a prolific 84*, helping his team reach a match-winning total of 185.
Riyan Parag’s effort earned him the man of the match award and praise from Indian star batter Suryakumar Yadav, who gave his insights on Riyan Parag’s changed approach.
Surya took his X account and wrote, “I met a guy at NCA a few weeks ago. He came with a slight niggle. He was completely focused on his recovery and, with great discipline, worked on his skills. And I was not wrong to tell one of the coaches there, ‘He is a changed guy. RIYAN PARAG 2.0 Watch out,”
Riyan Parag has been consistently performing for his team in the first two matches of the IPL, playing a crucial role in the team’s success in both matches.
He even targeted Anrich Nortje in the final, scoring 25 runs off it, which changed the momentum of the game.
The Rajasthan Royals will now face the Mumbai Indians on April 1 at Wankhede Stadium.
