India will be sending its U-19 team to Australia later this year for a series. The team will play 3 one-dayers and 2 four-day games starting from September 21 and ending on October 10.
Key players from the recent England tour are returning, including captain Ayush Mhatre, vice-captain Vihaan Malhotra and opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
The Junior Selection Committee has chosen the India U19 squad for the Australia tour in September. The team will play 3 one-dayers and 2 multi-day matches against Australia, said BCCI secretary Devajot Saikia in a statement on Wednesday.
The India U-19 team is coming off a tour of England where they beat the home team 3-2 in the Youth ODIs. The two Youth Tests were ties. Suryavanshi and Vihaan played well in the one-day series, Suryavanshi and Vihaan scored centuries in the fourth match in Worcester. They scored 363 after batting first.
The junior selection committee has also named 5 standby players.
