Indian star batter Virat Kohli recently bought a luxury bungalow in Awas Village in Alibaug. His elder brother Vikas Kohli completed all the formalities of buying a bungalow in Alibaug. Virat and Anushka do not own the first property in Alibaug. The couple also bought a farmhouse in Alibaug for Rs 19.24 crore in September last year. He reportedly paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.15 crore.
According to a report of the Hindustan Times, Virat Kohli has spent Rs 6 crore on a 2,000 sq ft villa in Awas Village. He has paid Rs 36 lakh as stamp duty on this property. It is being told that this villa also includes a swimming pool of 400 square feet. Sussanne Khan, daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Khan and ex-wife of Hrithik Roshan, has designed the project’s interiors.
Advocate Mahesh Mhatre works as a legal advisor to Avas Living Alibaug LLP. He told Hindustan Times, “Awas is a favorite destination for celebrities because of its natural beauty. Also, Mandwa jetty is five minutes away from Awas and speed boats have now reduced the distance to Mumbai to just 15 minutes.”
The report states, “The average land prices in Alibaug are around Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,500 per sq ft and it is also a favorite weekend destination for the elite class.”
The current captain of the Indian cricket team, Rohit Sharma has also bought land in Alibaug. Rohit Sharma had bought four acres of land in Mhatroli village in 2021.
Virat is busy in the four-match test series against the Australia. Indian team is already leading the series by 2-0, and the third test match will start on 1st March in Indore.
