Surya Kumar Yadav Joined The Inferior List With Sachin Tendulkar, Check Full Report

Suryakumar Yadav, the world’s number one batter in T20, was dismissed without opening an account in the third consecutive match in the last match against Australia. In the third ODI, he had to go back to the pavilion after being dismissed on his first ball. In the first two matches where Surya had dismissed lbw by Mitchell Starc in the same action. However, in the third match, he was bowled by Ashton Agar.

Before the third ODI, coach Rahul Dravid had said that Suryakumar is still learning the tricks of the game. Suryakumar was clean bowled by Agar in the 36th over of the Indian innings in the third ODI. As soon as he was dismissed, India’s score was 185 for six wickets.

Skipper Rohit Sharma has also said that Suryakumar is an important player for India in view of the World Cup to be held this year. However, getting out for zero in three consecutive ODIs, Suryakumar has joined an embarrassing list. He is the sixth Indian batsman to get out for zero in three consecutive ODIs. Before him, Sachin Tendulkar (1994), Anil Kumble (1996), Zaheer Khan (2003-04), Ishant Sharma (2010-11), and Jasprit Bumrah (2017-19) have done this feat.

Australia broke Team India’s domestic supremacy in ODI cricket for the last four years. In the third and deciding ODI, the Australian team defeated India by 21 runs with five balls to spare and sealed the series. This is Australia’s eighth overall win against India and sixth ODI series win on Indian soil. India last lost the last ODI series on their soil in 2019 to Australia.
