The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League will start on 31st April and the 2016 Champion Sunrisers Hyderabad will play its first match against Rajasthan Royals on 2nd April.
Before the mini-auction for IPL 2023, SRH went through many changes and they also removed their captain Kane Williamson. In an auction, the franchise broke the bank for the star English batter Harry Brook and got him 13.25 crores. They also succeeded in recruiting Mayank Agrawal, the former captain of the Punjab Kings, for a huge sum of Rupees 8.5 Crores.
Aiden Markram who had a great record in the inaugural season of SA20 playing for the sister franchise of Sunrisers Hyderabad, the batter went on to win the title. SRH will most probably go with Markram as their captain in IPL 2023.
