India achieved a total of 209 runs for the loss of 9 wickets during their 20 overs as Ishan Kishan scored 61 runs and Hardik Pandya added 52 runs to the team’s total. The defending champions bowled out Namibia for 116 runs in 18.2 overs after wrist spinner Varun Chakravarthy destroyed their middle batting order by achieving bowling figures of 3/7.
Yadav explained during the post-match presentation that Ishan and Sanju showed excellent batting skills on a challenging wicket because their performance displayed the opposite of the wicket’s actual difficulty. Yadav praised the Shivam and Hardik partnership because their performance after losing two or three quick wickets showed excellent batting skills.
