SRH Star Cricketer Taken To Hospital After His Flight Journey, Here Is The Biggest Reason

Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal was urgently taken to the hospital from Agartala airport on Tuesday, January 30, as he fell unwell before his scheduled flight to New Delhi. Mayank Agarwal expressed discomfort in his throat after boarding the airplane, prompting immediate medical attention at a local hospital in the capital city of Tripura.

Mayank Agarwal received medical care at the Agartala hospital, but the cause of the incident during the flight remains unclear. Authorities are currently investigating the matter, according to sources informed by India Today. The Karnataka team traveling from Agartala to Rajkot for their upcoming Ranji Trophy match against Railways in Surat was involved in the incident.

Mayank Agarwal captained Karnataka in a recent Ranji Trophy match in Agartala and was set to board an Indigo flight to New Delhi at 2:30 pm IST. However, he was swiftly removed from the plane and taken to a nearby hospital as he reported experiencing throat discomfort. This occurred after his leadership role in the Ranji Trophy game earlier in the week.

On Tuesday afternoon, Tripura Cricket officials were present at the hospital to monitor the health condition of Mayank Agarwal.

Shavir Tarapore, the joint secretary of Karnataka State Cricket Association, mentioned that the state association was attempting to gather additional information about the incident. However, he refrained from providing details.

While playing for Team India, Mayank Agarwal has accumulated 1488 runs from 21 Test matches. He has not represented the national team since March 2022. He played his last international match against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. The player will represent Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024.
