Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar reacts to team India’s heartbreaking loss

India’s loss at Lord’s is a tough one, mainly because Shubman Gill’s team came so near to chasing down the 193-run target. Ravindra Jadeja’s strong effort almost guided the team to an amazing victory against England in the third Test. Then, Mohammed Siraj’s unfortunate dismissal gave England a 2-1 series lead.

Indian cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly were upset to see the team lose after coming so close to a victory. Ganguly, one of India’s best captains, spoke highly of Jadeja after the exciting game at Lord’s. He wrote, What a test match! India will leave Lord’s very disappointed. They played so well in all 3 Test matches but are now down 2-1. This Test match was winnable. Jadeja fought hard and showed 193 wasn’t a big score.

Sachin praised the efforts of Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Siraj, even the team did not win. He wrote, So near, yet so far…. Jadeja, Bumrah, & Siraj fought hard until the end. Team India, good effort. England played well, kept the pressure on, and got the result they wanted. Congrats on a hard-fought win.

India bowled England out for 192, raising hopes for a victory. But batting in the fourth innings proved difficult. Jadeja batted 22 overs with Bumrah and then 13 more with Siraj. Due to lack of support from the other end, he did not win.
