Sourav Ganguly Predicted The Scoreline Of India vs England Five-Match Test Series

The former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has shown his confidence in India’s success in the ongoing Test series. He made a bold prediction that India would emerge victorious, the only question is whether it would be a 4-0 or 5-0 result in favor of India. Ganguly underscored the significance of batting in Indian conditions and indicated that a higher score from England in their initial innings might have altered the series dynamics.

In an exciting opening Test match held in Hyderabad between England and India, Ollie Pope displayed outstanding skill by scoring an impressive 196 runs from 278 deliveries, giving England a crucial advantage in the match. The England team wrapped up their second innings with a total of 420 runs, establishing a target of 230 for the Indian team.

According to Hindustan Times, Sourav Ganguly said, “India will win the series, the matter is whether they will win it 4-0 or 5-0. Every Test will be decisive. England could have won this Test match had they batted well. One cannot win against India by making 230 or 240 runs on Indian soil. Had they made 350 or 400, they could have beaten India, but they weren’t able to do that. It’s a tough series for England. Any team other than the Australia of that era could not create any impact here.”

Ganguly also gave his opinion on Bazball Cricket and said that this approach won’t be that successful in India. He said that India has a spinny track which does not suit the Bazball strategy.
