Smriti Mandhana and This Star Player Are The Only Indians Which Got Picked In Hundred’s Draft.

Women’s Premier League-winning captain Smriti Mandhana and her teammate Richa Ghosh are the only two Indian players to be picked as draft picks for the Hundred tournament.

Mandhana, who led RCB to their first ever title, was picked by the Southern Brave as the draft pick; on the other hand, her teammate and wicketkeeper batter, Richa Ghosh, was picked by the Birmingham Phoenix.

Smriti Mandhana had phenomenal success with the bat in the recently concluded WPL. The southpaw scored two half centuries in 10 matches and scored 300 runs. On the other hand, Richa Ghosh, who usually batted down the order, scored 257 runs in 10 outings.

Mandhana had already played for Brave in the 100th tournament and worked closely with Luke Willams before he was made head coach of RCB.

On the other hand, Bermingham Pheonix is Ghosh’s second franchise; before that, she was part of the London Sprits.

Apart from these two players, several Indian players like Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Shreyanka Patil had also registered but failed to find the team during the draft. As many as 17 Indian players were registered for the same.

However, these players can be picked by the teams through Vitality Wild Cards.
