Star Australian batter Steve Smith has given his opinion on the next superstar of world records. The player is in India and currently taking part in the four-match series of the Border-Gavaskar trophy 2023.
Smith had an interaction with ESPNCricinfo and when he was asked to choose the most impressive batsman between Shubman Gill and England’s Harry Brook, Smith came up with a surprising name. Smith picked Harry Brook over Shubman Gill.
Shubman Gill has been in tremendous form since last year and not only in Tests but he is also shining in ODI and T20Is. In the third test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy, Shubman will most probably replace KL Rahul.
At the age of 23, another cricketer from England is doing something similar to young Gill. Harry Brook from England is doing some serious talk with his bat in all formats of the game and he is being considered the next superstar of World Cricket.
Meanwhile, India has won the two back-to-back games of the Border-Gavaskar trophy. The last win in Delhi was won by 6 wickets, thanks to Ravindra Jadeja’s brilliant performance with the bowl where he got 10 wickets in the match.
