Shreyas Iyer Ruled Out Of 3-Match ODI Series Against NZ, This RCB Shining Star Added To The Squad

India will face New Zealand in the first ODI on January 18 but before it disheartening news is coming from the Indian team.

Star Indian middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out from the three-match ODI series due to a back injury. BCCI has also named the replacement and the RCB batter Rajat Patidar is going to fill his place in the Indian Squad.

Iyer has been so consistent in the ODIs and his absence will really affect the playing XI of team India. In the absence of Iyer, now the team will have the freedom to give chances to those young batters on the warming bench.

Recently, India finished a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka in which they whitewashed the visitors 3-0 winning the last one by a huge margin of 317 runs.

The Indian team has already arrived in Hyderabad and the team’s captain Rohit Sharma will look to dominate the Kiwis here as well.

Updated Indian Squad For The ODI Series Against New Zealand:

Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan (wk), Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Suryakumar Yadav, KS Bharat (wk), Hardik Pandya (vice-captain), Washington Sundar, Shahbaz Ahmed, Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Umran Malik.
