The Delhi Capitals have received another huge blow as their star all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is set to be out for the IPL for at least a week. The star all-rounder missed the last encounter against the Mumbai Indians due to the same injury.
Speaking about Marsh’s injury Praveen Amre said that his injury is a worrying sign for the team. Pravin Amre said, “A few of our players are injured, and the worrying sign is Mitch Marsh. He has gone for a scan, and the physios will give us a report in a week’s time. Then we will come to know what the exact situation is. Whether he can play the entire season or not depends on the reports.”
If the injury is serious, Marsh can be ruled out of the entire IPL season, and this is also a worrying sign for Australia as Marsh is going to lead the side into the World Cup. Delhi’s director of cricket, Saurav Ganguly, confirmed Marsh’s injury after Delhi’s clash against KKR.
Delhi capitals are already facing injury issues as Kuldeep Yadav and Mukesh Kumar are already out of action due to injuries.
Speaking about the same, Praveen Amre said, “We have to start winning but have been set back by a few injuries. In the first game, Ishant [Sharma] couldn’t bowl two overs.
Then Mukesh got injured. Kuldeep has not played three games. Marsh has a hamstring injury. They are our main players, and whoever comes in for them, they are not as effective because it is like A players vs. B players there.”
