Sapna Gill And 3 Others In Custody For 14 Days, Accused Of Attacking Prithvi Shaw

On Monday, February 20, social media influencer Sapna Gill and the other 3 suspects who had been charged with assaulting Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw were sent to judicial custody.

After the police custody was removed on Monday, the 14-day judicial custody will begin for the accused. After the incident in Bombay, the Oshiwara Police detained 8 people, including Sapna. They were sent to jail under 143, 148, 149, 384, 437, 504, and 506 sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Prithvi Shaw’s friend Ashish Surendra Yadav reported the incident to the Oshiwara Police in Bombay, who then arrested Sapna Gill and 7 other people. According to Ashish’s complaint, a group of people attacked his car with baseball bats, followed it, and threatened to file fake police reports if they weren’t paid Rs. 50,000.

Interestingly, Sapna not only denied the claims but also said that Prithvi Shaw tried to physically harm her and her friends and was doing so while carrying a stick.

The incident happened when Prithvi Shaw was out with his friends for dinner near Santacruz. While having dinner Shaw was asked for a selfie by the two accused and the cricketer did that without uttering a single word. However, they returned again for a selfie with their other friends and this time Shaw denied the offer saying he is there for dinner and does not need any disturbance.

When Shaw and his friend left the hotel after eating, some people were waiting outside with baseball bats since this occurrence had angered them. The accused used baseball bats to damage the front and rear windows of the BMW that belonged to Prithvi’s friend.
